Upcoming Sessions
Fall 2024 Classes
We are excited to offer several 10-week phonics classes for Pre-K and 5/6 Program students this fall. We will utilize phonics instruction, emphasizing visual, auditory and kinesthetic (tactile) learning styles as a way to lay a solid foundation for early readers. Our time together will be spent playing games and other activities centered on letter recognition and letter sounds, rhyming words, and an introduction to basic cvc (consonant, vowel, consonant) word families. (bat, cat, sat, etc.)
Registration will go live on our website at 8:00 AM on Monday, April 29th. Please note, if you are interested in a particular class time, we recommend registering as soon as possible to ensure there is space in the requested class. Thank you!

September 9th-November 18th (No Class on October 14th for Fall Break)

1:30-2:30 pm | Pre-K and Lions (5/6) Program | $400 (Pre-K students have the option to sign up for Stay and Play or a Sports and Rec class prior to this class. Sign ups for Stay and Play and Sports and Rec classes are on the Northside Preschool or Sports and Rec website. RR teachers will pick students up from the Lions class or a prior Stay and Play or Sports and Rec offering and take them to the RR class.)

**For students at Christ the King Preschool at Second Ponce, RR teachers will pick the children up in carpool and walk them to the Reading Rangers class at the CWC.
**There must be a minimum of 8 students for a class to take place.
Fall Class Refund Policy
Prior to July 1, 2024, a full refund will be returned to you.
After July 1, 2024, a full refund will ONLY be issued if your spot can be filled by another student.
Summer Camps 2024
Reading Rangers Summer Camp is a fun-filled camp designed to build your child's confidence in phonics before returning to school. The activities and games are appropriate for children who are rising pre-k, rising 5/6 program, and rising kindergarten students. During the camp, we will utilize phonics instruction, emphasizing visual, auditory and kinesthetic (tactile) learning styles as a way to lay a solid foundation for early readers. The Rising Pre-K Camp will spend the time together playing games and other activities centered on letter recognition and letter sounds. Our Rising Kindergarten Camp will explore rhyming words and word families (bat, cat, sat, etc.). Students will participate in activities designed to practice isolating the beginning, middle, and ending sounds in CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words and ultimately blending the sounds to read these words. We welcome rising 5/6 program or transitional kindergarten students at either camp. Please note, each camp week has the same instruction and activities. Most students only join one week of camp, but you can certainly do more than one week if you think your child would enjoy doing the same activities again.
Registration: Registration for the summer camps will open on Thursday, January 25th at 8:00 am.
*Each camp has space for 12 students. There must be 8 students for a camp to take place.
